Venky, Pawan team up
Venkatesh's presence at the muhurat of Pawan Kalayn's Annavaram made people speculate about a film in which the two plan to star together. Venky, who announced some time ago that there would be a film by Suresh Productions starring himself and buddy Pawan Kalyan, entrusted the script work to three writers. So far, only 50 per cent of the script has been worked out to Venky's satisfaction, and hence the delay. Besides both the stars are busy with their respective assignments but Venky is pretty sure about the project starting next year.
New title
This is not the first time a film has been renamed. Clean Bowled, starring Raja, Rajiv Kanakala and Sivabalaji, has been renamed as Kokila. The producer says this title is more apt as the story revolves around a girl called Kokila. However, the buzz is that the producer was shocked with the untimely death of young director Konda. He then changed the title as he felt it was a bad omen. This was Konda's second directorial venture and he had hit upon this title when the script was ready three years ago. The film is getting its finishing touches with the help of director V.N. Aditya and will be ready for release on Sankranthi.
Local lingo
Sandhya, the young heroine of Premisthe, who has already bagged a meaty role in Annavaram, is keen on learning the language as she believes it is essential to be fluent in Telugu to emote well in the films done in the State. She is being tutored by an assistant director of the film and is confident of picking up Telugu by the time she completes the film. Sandhya isn't alone in her efforts. Even Meera Jasmine decided to dub for Gudumba Shankar herself. This proves once again that these two Malayali girls are professional to the core. Hope the other heroines, who have been around for years, are listening.
Son rise
Ace producer Aswani Dutt, who made several box-office blockbusters, wants to launch Chiru's son Ramcharan Teja with a bilingual. The film will be made in Telugu and Hindi simultaneously, he says. He's been hunting for a suitable story for a year now but is not happy with the scripts he came across so far. The shooting would most probably commence next year. This apart, Dutt also wants to launch Nag's son Chaitanya. So all ye star sons, take a hint. If you are itching to make a debut, knock at Dutt's door.
