The venue is Nageshwar Rao Park, Luz Church Road, Mylapore. From January 5 to 14, you can take a walk in the park and see and exhibition of 57 large photos by Olivier Follini titled `Indian Wisdom', which focus on the original contribution of India's living heritage to the understanding of problems confronting the human race. The exhibition has been organised in the context of the Mylapore festival.
Over the past several months, Follini has travelled extensively in the villages of India to experience the true Indian spirit - timeless landscapes, scenes of life, bright images that evoke the depth and richness of a lively culture.
Olivier Follini is the recipient of many prestigious international prizes such as the Prix Premier de France in 1990 and the Medaille Vermeil in 2001. He is also the author of several award winning books and documentaries. His film "The Frozen River" on the Zanskar River won the coveted Grand Prix at the Royan Festival in 1991. The exhibition is being organised in collaboration with the French Embassy in New Delhi and the Mylapore Festival. For details contact the Alliance Francaise de Madras at 28279803.
