Biryani festival


Brooks is holding a midnight biryani festival, Jashn-e-Biryani, till January 26. Every night from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., customers can sample traditional dum pukht biryani cooked using firewood and clay pots.

Each evening there is a different biryani on offer. The range includes lagan ki koorgi biryani on Mondays, noorani kofti biryani on Tuesdays, admahal mirch biryani on Wednesdays, biryani-e-jashn on Thursdays, roohani pilao on Fridays, shahi shah jahani biryani on Saturdays and khusuma irani bori biryani and abodana murg aloo pilaf on Sundays. All the biryanis are servdwe with yoghurt raitha, mirchi ka salan and baghare baingan. The interior decor has also been specially done up for the festival, and includes special posters and wall hangings in a royal Mughal theme.
