This is for dog lovers

The annual Dog Show will be held on January 7 and 8

It's time for your dog to have its day at the Madras Canine Club's 68th and 69th Championship Dog Show to be held on January 7 and 8 at the University Union Grounds, Spurtank Road, Chetpet.

The events on January 7 include Obedience Trials (8.30 a.m.), German Shepherd Club of India's Seiger Show (10 a.m.) and the Dobermann Pinscher Speciality Show (2.30 p.m.), while the events on January 8 include the MCC All Breeds Show Judging (9 a.m.), Best in Show Judging (5 p.m.) and Prize Distribution (5.30 p.m.). The main objective of conducting these shows is to promote the breeding of pedigree dogs and popularise fast vanishing breeds. The chief guest this time is C. Sylendra Babu, IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police (South). The GSC's Seiger Show (10 a.m., January 7) will be judged by Herr Hans Peter Rieker, an SV judge from Germany and the Dobermann Pinscher Speciality Show (2.30 p.m., January 7) by Ekarat Sangkunakup, a Dobermann specialist, from Thailand. The Obedience Trials will be judged by J. Rangarajan of the U.S. and the MCC's 68th & 69th All Breeds Show by Mrs. Jackie Perry of the Federation Cynologique International, Kikuhiko Kashiwagi of Japan and Ekarat Sangkunakup of Thailand.
