Friends, fun, feast...

A brunch in the sun is one of Delhi's wintertime delights. A warm winter Sunday, the company of a few close friends and a picture postcard location in the very heart of Delhi - what else can one aspire for? Well, this was precisely the setting of a Fosters Brunch organised by Shefali Talwar, noted model and socialite, for a select group of her associates the other day.

The setting was perfect - bright sunshine and a breathtaking view from the rooftop of Village Bistro, situated in the Hauz Khas village complex.

At a high

The ambience was elevated to a much higher plane. History seeped from heritage monuments overlooking the terrace on one side and pristine vegetation around sprawling natural water bodies on the other. No wonder, the rooftop has been christened Terrace in the Sky. As the celebrities trudged in - some in their winter casuals, others in proper formals - the tone was set for a rocking time by a deejay dishing out popular numbers. For the more discerning aficionados of music, there was a live band - violin, trumpet and all. As the event gathered fizz, a lazy Sunday forenoon became hot and starry. Guests were seen lounging in the pleasantly warm sunshine, tasting delicacies at the pasta stations and barbeques that were served through an open kitchen concept, peppered with nostalgia of British war days. The menu had grilled chicken, mushroom, lamb chops and grilled fish amongst other proverbial mouth watering delicacies.
