Angels of hope
The Angel of Hope Campaign, which was the focus of the month-long celebrations, `Christmas Fiesta 2005', at the Ispahani Centre, Nungambakkam, organised by the Singapore Tourism Board and World Vision India, saw a collection of Rs. 98,705. The campaign enabled every visitor to the centre to help a needy child, by way of buying an angel, which were used as decorations. Around 3,795 were sold.
As part of Christmas Fiesta, many programmes were conducted at the Ispahani Centre during the weekends throughout the month, to raise awareness about the projects World Vision supports. Each participant in the campaign also participated in a lucky draw. Amritanshu won two-return tickets with a four night-five day stay in Singapore as the first prize, Saezan won a hand-crafted bag from Calonge as the second prize, and Syeed Nasar and Sudheer won designer duppatas by Ritu Kumar as the third prize.
Besides, 18 kids got sponsorship support from people who participated in the festivities.
