Meet the Chinkara

They take three months to make one car that has no roof, no window and no doors. That's what amazed everyone when they first heard of the Chinkara in 2003. Based around the familiar formula of the Lotus 7, the Indian-made Chinkara is testimony to how far dreams can take you. Theirs is still this small set-up in beautiful, sleepy Alibaug, a virgin town by the beach near Mumbai. But their car is going places. Shama and Guido Bothe, the hushband and wife team that makes this car, will be at the upcoming Auto Expo in Delhi this year with a few more newer creations. On display will be a special variant of the Roadster and the Chinkara ATV. Moreover, they will also showcase their take on a 350 cc Royal Enfield Bullet.
