Workshop for women
TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), a global non-profit organisation focused on promoting entrepreneurship is holding a three-day workshop for women entrepreneurs on January 19, 20, 21 at K.M.A. Hall, Panampilly Nagar, Kochi.
The programme is aimed at educated women who have the desire to start an enterprise of their own but lack the confidence to take up the challenge. The workshop will address this by providing necessary inputs and motivation through classroom sessions, class analysis and experience sharing by successful entrepreneurs.
The course content is designed with advice from ISB, Hyderabad, IIM-Bangalore and KIED. Experienced faculty consisting of successful women entrepreneurs, professionals from the legal, governmental and academic fields will cover the subjects. Some of the speakers at the event will be Achamma Joseph, Akhila Ramachnadran, Anita Issac, Prasanna Kumar GM, DIC, Principal, KIED Dr. Sivaraman, KIED, Geetha Niketh, Jaya Jacob Alexandor, Sarekha Zachariah, Navas Meeran, Rajiv Sreenivasan, Madhav Mohan, Pamela Anna Mathew. And some of the topics they will speak on are Managing and Motivating Employees, Raising Money, Planning and organising an enterprise, How to set up company or partnership, Manufacturing, Women Entrepreneurship and Empowerment.
The programme is non-residential. The number of participants will be limited to 30 women and registration will be on a `first-come-first-serve basis.' A registration fee of Rs. 1,000 per participant for three days will be charged to cover the expenses for lunch, other refreshments and training facilities.
