Radio Sparsha, the Kannada channel of WorldSpace Satellite Radio network, is celebrating Makara Sankranti with two special interviews: with veteran Yakshagana artiste Shambhu Hegde and popular Kannada actor-director Ramesh Arvind, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Famous for his portrayal of Karuna rasa, Shambhu Hegde has been performing for more than 50 years. He is now focused on reviving the coastal art of Yakshagana through his work as the Chairperson of the Janadapada and Yakshagana Academy. He will be interviewed by RJ Varsha on Manini. Actor-Director Ramesh Arvind, in his chat with RJ Rachana on Gandhinagar Express, will talk about his latest venture Rama Shama Bhama — the thrill of making his directorial debut and experiences with Kamal Hassan.
