NEW IMAGE Khadi has evolved from its humble origins, thanks to chic brands

Khadi has come a long way from its neta image. Today, with the introduction of numerous chic khadi options, the fabric has entered the realm of ethnic cool. The latest in that range of Khadi brands is Khadi Line, a fashion label launched by the Sarvoday Ashram.

The brand has on offer a wide range of attires for men and women, including shirts, kurtas, trousers, dress materials, lehangas and colourful tops, all in a variety of vibrant colours. The range is also economically-priced, with the women's line starting at Rs. 295 and the men's line starting at Rs. 395.

The aim behind setting up the line has been to provide constructive contribution to the livelihood of millions of weavers and spinners, without sacrificing on the sanctity of hand-woven and hand-spun fabric.
