Sankranthi specials

Sankranthi is going to be special this time with six releases mainly in the comedy genre. "Chukkallo Chandrudu" is a romantic entertainer with Siddharth, Sada, Saloni and Charmee. Can two former assistants of Mani Ratnam -- Siddharth and debutant director Sivakumar (both Tamils) -- dish out a hit in Telugu? "Devadasu" is a love story with newcomers Ram and Ilena, directed by Y.V.S Choudary.

"Kokila" is another comedy, featuring Raja and Saloni and directed by the late Konda. "Lakshmi" is the big Sankranthi film with Venkatesh, Charmee and Nayantara who makes her debut in Telugu. The film is directed by none other than V. V. Vinayak who has given many hits. It is a family entertainerand the trade feels it will become a super hit. Ramana Gogula's music is already topping the charts. "Sarada Saradaga" from comedy king S. V. Krishna Reddy features Rajendra Prasad, Srikanth, Sindhu Tulani and Ruthika. "Style" has Lawrence and Prabhu Deva, two of India's finest choreographers coming together for the first time. It is Lawrence's second film as director and the film also has Charmee and Kamalini Mukherjee and the music is by Mani Sharma.
