DEBUT IN PUNJAB Kulraj Randhawa in "Mannat"

Kulraj Randhawa, who tickled your funny bone in her recent sitcom Kareena Kareena, is now making her silver screen debut with a Punjabi film Mannat. Scheduled to release in April 2006, the movie has Jimmy Shergill and Kulraj Randhawa in the lead, and Kanwaljit Singh and Deep Dhillon in supporting roles. The movie is produced by Anurradha Prasad of B.A.G Films and directed by Gurbir Singh Grewal.

Randhawa says, "Mannat has a strong storyline and people who believe in watching meaningful cinema will appreciate it."

About her role in Mannat, she says, "It is a complete transformation from Kareena."

Randhawa says she has no role-model and she trusts her instincts. She greatly admires the work of Amitabh Bachchan and Madhubala.

About her dream role, she giggles, "I would love to play Rani's role in Black or even Basanti in Sholay. Mannat is a beautiful love story, a film with many shades, catering to all age groups."
