Second time lucky?

Look out for Evam's latest play "Chapter Two"

When it comes to romance, moonlight and roses, is one chance all you get?

Evam's latest production, `Chapter Two' is a romantic comedy about falling in love. For the second time.

A play by Neil Simon, this quirky, tug-at-your-heartstrings story moves away from the regular odes to first love by exploring what it's like to be past the first bloom of youth and still looking for love.

The story revolves around novelist George Schneider (played by Karthik Srinivasan) who is desperately trying to get on with his life after the death of his wife.

His brother Leo (Karthik Kumar) sets him up with recently divorced Jennie Malone (Andrea Jeremiah), with some help from her best friend Faye (Karuna Amarnath). And then, of course, the twists and turns, repartee and witticisms characteristic of Neil Simon all fall into place.

Chapter Two by Evam will be staged at Sivagami Pethachi auditorium on January 21, 22, 28 and 29 at 7 p.m. There will also be a 2 p.m. show on January 29. Call 9840222363 for bookings and 52245224 for home delivery of tickets.
