A National Conference on Transactional Analysis from January 25 to 29
|
The TA Study Circle - Madras and POORNAM Institute for Holistic Development are organising a National Conference on Transactional Analysis 2006 from January 25 to 29 at the St. Thomas International Centre, Hill Top, St. Thomas Mount. The theme of the 33rd ICTA Annual Conference is "Freedom in Bonding" with the participation of over 300 professionals and 20 plus presenters who are experts in various fields from India and abroad.
There will be pre-conference institutes on January 25 and 26, followed by the BOC-CTA Examinations. The conference will be inaugurated on January 26. Keynote addresses have been scheduled for January 27 and workshops, presentations, panels and support groups will wind up the programme on January 29.
What is Transactional Analysis? The concept was developed by Dr. Eric Berne in the 1950s/1960s and is a comprehensive theory of human growth, development, social behaviour and evolution, besides being a coherent system of psychotherapy. It finds wide-ranging application in fields such as counselling psychotherapy, education and organisational behaviour/development. The most appealing feature of TA is the ease with which it helps us deal with the simple and profound aspects of our life.
Who can benefit? Those who are interested in personal growth and interpersonal competence and performance development, be they in HRD, training, Personnel and Industrial Relations or psychotherapists, psychiatrists, teachers, students, parents, counsellors, corporate executives, staff of NGOS and housewives.
The conference will explore how we can balance conflicting needs - to be independent as well as interdependent, self-reliant yet interconnected, self-governing yet directed, free as well as within bonds.
