Positive about `Paramasivan'

Ajit can heave a sigh of relief now that his Pongal release "Paramasivan" has been declared a hit by the trade. According to A. K. Nataraj, Chennai city distributor of the film: "With "Paramasivan", Ajit has proved that he is still the `king of opening'. From six Chennai screens in three days, the film has got a distributor's share of Rs. 17.5 lakhs, which is amazing." Trade analysts say that throughout Tamil Nadu, there has been a sympathy wave for the actor who has been going through a bad patch at the box-office.

Added to that, Vijay's "Aathi" did not make it to theatres on Pongal day due to technical reasons. And some of the theatres, especially in complexes playing "Paramasivan", cashed in on it for a day. Ajit has once again become hot, and this will also help the producer and distributors of his long delayed "Godfather", due for release next month.
