He spells masti

THE CLASS IS ON Aamir Khan and Soha Ali Khan doing a jig on "Masti Ki Pathshala" sung by Naresh

If you can't keep yourself from humming "Roobaroo" then just blame it on the singer Naresh and A.R. Rahman. He is in habit of making good music and taking out the best from the singer. Naresh was among the top 25 in The Channel V's Super Singer. Besides Roobaroo he has sung two other songs of the movie Rang de Basanti. One is the funny "Masti Ki Pathshala" and the other is the soft romantic number "Tum Bin" with Madhushree.

Different tone

All the three songs are there to prove that the real talent don't need any formal training. Each song demanded a different tone. Before this he had already sung a Tamil song "Mailkregey". While judging the show Super Singer, A.R.Rahman promised him to make him sing in one of his movies although at that very moment he was out of the contest. He was quite sceptical about it. He says, "I was shocked because I was chucked out but I wasn't quite sure enough that Rahman will call me." Losing after coming that far was a bit disheartening." His reaction for not making it for the Super Singer was balanced one.

Academics and music could not go in hand in hand for long time so he left his CA after completing his graduation from SIS college of Commerce and Economics. A complete Mumbaikar, he loves to hang out at Juhu beach with friends. He really stresses that the name of his college must be written correctly.

Born and brought up in Matunga, he always loved the showbiz and wanted to be a part of it. He exclaims, "I have no regrets of not making it to the top as it was a dream of mine to work with A.R.Rahman, which has come true. What else can I expect?" He is still grateful to Channel V for giving him a chance to prove himself.

After working with A.R.Rahman, initially he had no words but then he says, "Rahman is a genius indeed but in studio he is more or less like a friend. He makes his co-workers warm and never makes them feel that one is working with the film industry's top music director."
