Omega, one of the world's largest manufacturers of luxury watches, has opened its first exclusive boutique in Connaught Place in New Delhi. The fifth such boutique in India, it was inaugurated by Raynald Aeschlimann, Vice President of Omega International and Omega's Indian Brand ambassador Sonali Bendre-Behl. Also present at the opening was G. Kannan, country head of Swatch group in India. The boutique has been set up in collaboration with Johnson & Company and will showcase all of Omega's collections including exclusive and limited edition watches. Omega plans to have 10 boutiques all across India by the end of this year. In tandem with the opening of the showroom, Omega also unveiled its new watch, Planet Ocean that was gifted to Sonali Bendre after the inauguration. Flashy in bright orange, the watch comes in a single colour and is waterproof upto a depth of 1000 feet underwater. "It might just inspire me to learn swimming," said Sonali after receiving the watch. A professional, unisex watch with a stylish dial, it is priced at Rs.1.19 lakhs.
