Numerous brands of used cars were on show at the Car Mela in Pitampura

GOT IT! People are increasingly buying pre-owned cars
`Sir Car,' a unique car mela of used cars was organised recently at Dilli Haat, Pitampura. Exhibiting around 250 cars, the mela organised by Radio Mirchi, brought together various models under one roof, giving the customer a wide choice, to choose from the numerous brands available. Amit Patel, National Sales Head, HDFC, inaugurated the three-day Mela.
The revelry reflected in the robust and innovative event, wherein the pre owned or used cars were exhibited from economical to luxury segments. Besides, special focus was given on facilitating Delhiites to own these cars through on the spot sanctioning of car loans by HDFC car loans on attractive rate of interest. Says Kanwarbir Singh, Station Director, Radio Mirchi, "Our focus is on used models and old cars." He added, "We are also offering various facilities to our visitors like providing free insurance check up by National Insurance and special discount schemes by J.K. Tyres." He also ensured, on the spot loans within a mere three hours.
Keen interest
Although, a very few imported cars could be seen, yet visitors showed a keen interest in the Mela. The range started from 1,50,000. One of the priciest cars included
"Skoda", model 2003 priced 8.5 lakhs. Most of them were insured but, "Qualis", 2002 model, priced 5,25,000 and even "Accent" priced at 2, 70,000 besides others. While "Ikon 1.3" was priced 3,65,000, "Optra LS" was priced at 6,00,000, "Wagon R" at 2,20,000 and "Palio GTX" at 1,95,000 besides numerous others.
