Book/s that have left a lasting impression:
Books are an integral part of my personality and I read anything, even comics and magazines. And many have made an impact. Ayn Rand's "Fountainhead" the thought process that went into it, the characters, the philosophy... every aspect made me think. Alex Hailey's "Roots" was a superb read. I can pick up Margaret Mitchell's "Gone With The Wind" even now. Similarly Richard Bach's "One" is riveting.
Favourite authors:
Other than the ones mentioned above, it is Paulo Coelho and his "Alchemist". I love his style and his way of projecting emotions. I've read all the works of Osho. "The Da Vinci Code" is another interesting read. Dan Brown has brought together fiction and non-fiction in the most enthralling manner.
One book I'd recommend to family and friends:
It's impossible to recommend any one book because reading is an individual pursuit. What I enjoy may not appeal to others. Also we all go through phases. As a kid, I loved Barbara Cartland... the life she portrayed, the clothes, taffetas, the jewellery. But today, I cannot read all that. Honestly, I feel people should read, no matter what.
Currently reading: Robin Sharma's "The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari" and the biography of Lee Kuan Yew.
I would love to have dinner with: Actually, I prefer to read the works of authors rather than meet them.
