Jungle lore aplenty on television

Animal Planet lines up a fresh schedule

DIVE IN For adventure, information and fun

Nature buffs rejoice as Animal Planet presents a time-band strategy, segmenting the programmes under four well-defined and unique bands - Fun Zone, Safari, Masters of the Jungle and Unexplained, Unexplored.

All programmes in a particular time band will maintain a common attraction element. Fun Zone will feature popular series like `The Planet's Funniest Animals' and `Amazing Animal Videos,' so check out for pet peeves and more. The Safari is for the adrenalin junkies with a generous helping of spine chilling experiences from jungle safari. Some of the programmes that will be aired in the series include `Most Extremes,' `Indian Safari,' `Equator,' `Natural World,' `Predators' and `Young & Wild' will feature here.

One of the biggest attractions on the channel has been daring experts like Jeff Corwin.`Masters of the Jungles' will present one hour of breathtaking and awe-inspiring accounts with the most dangerous animals on the planet. `Unexplained, Unexplored' reveals to viewers the less understood and lesser-known stories of animal behaviour.

The channel has also introduced, for the first time, an India centric one-hour weekly slot called Indian Safari. From the deserts of Rajasthan to the peaks of the Himalayas, Indian Safari brings encounters with India's wilds and rarest animals like the fabled Bengal Tiger, the rare Asiatic lion and more.
