An evening of Schubert and Dvorak at Museum Theatre

Here's an opportunity for Chennai-ites to listen to a concert of classical occidental music featuring renowned European musicians. Artistic director and violinist Bernard Wacheux, who has worked closely with Yehudi Menuhin, will present Schubert's String Quartet in D minor "Death and the Maiden" and Dvorak's String Quartet in F Major "Americain". The instrumentalists are David Wacheux on the violin, Caroline Glory on the cello, and Benjamin Bricout on the viola. Daddy Rajamahendra is in charge of sound.
The concert is being organised by Pierre Elouard, Chief Executive, Satsanga of Pondicherry. Tickets priced at Rs. 100, Rs. 150 and Rs. 200 are available at the Alliance Francaise, 24, College Road, Nungambakkam (ph: 28249803/28271477) and at Musee Musical, 73, Anna Salai (ph: 28522780, 28516474), and can also be picked up at the venue. The concert is on February 12, 7 p.m. at the Museum Theatre, Egmore.
