The Holiday bond!

NOT BAD! Gulshan Grover at the inauguration of the store Loot in New Delhi

Even if Bollywood's bad man Gulshan Grover talks without that intonation in his voice to scare you, or doesn't roll his big, round eyes, you somehow can't seem to brush aside his screen image of a dangerous villain out to get the good man. Tell him that and Grover laughs heartily. Perhaps in appreciation of the thought, as we all know a good actor should have the power to enter the soul of a character, be it good or evil.

Now coming in theatres with Pooja Bhatt's Holiday, which released this week, Grover, for a change, is in a `positive' role here, playing a caring father.

"Yes, it is not like the usual negative characters I play in films," he confirms. But don't take this particular role in Holiday as the actor's attempt to change his usual image for he hastens to add that next in line is a Karan Razdan movie where will live up to his usual on-screen bad boy image.

"In Razdan's Souten, I play the role of a good man but with a bad wife. I finally become her murderer," he explains. Mahima Chaudhary is his co-actor in it.

Bond movie

In New Delhi's Pitampura area the other day to inaugurate Loot, a store with a novel idea to offer discounts to customers on big brands throughout the year, Grover also chooses to clear the air over a controversial Hollywood assignment. Contrary to news that he is not in the latest James Bond movie, Casino Royale that will introduce Daniel Craig as the new 007 agent, Grover claims he is definitely in and is playing the role of Le Chiffre, the villain.

Well, back to basics then.
