The competition among the newly launched news channels to get an "exclusive" has resulted in many sting operations and scoops. An Indian cricketer who took photographs of the team at the Karachi airport gets those pictures flashed on one of the channels and it becomes an "exclusive"! Besides, we get to see "exclusives" such as the footage of a pregnant woman thrown out of a government hospital in Hyderabad for not giving a bribe, delivering her baby on the road. Still there are interesting programmes such as Arnab Goswami's "Frankly Speaking" (Times Now, Sunday 10 p.m.) where politicians are grilled in an informal way.
