An ideal dream

"Aapka Abhijeet" — the Indian Idol's autobiography

AN IDOL FOR MANY Abhijeet Sawant

Carl Jung had aptly remarked — "Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens."

Indian Idol Abhijeet Sawant feels that he is one such dreamer. It was a dream-come-true for him to win Sony TV's Indian Idol title and gain a foothold in the music industry. Besides a solo album, he has now come up with his autobiography, "Aapka Abhijeet".

The book, a Popular Prakashan publication, talks about Abhijeet's journey from the streets of Mulund in Mumbai to the stage of fame. The shy guy is excited about the book and has dedicated it to the masses that had heard, voted and supported him.

The book has photographs and write-ups about his experiences in his musical journey. Abhijeet says, "The book would inspire Generation Next to be determined and focussed."

And he continues to dream. "I want to sing with Sonu Nigam and also want to perform with Shah Rukh Khan again." Abhijeet's book is available in English, Hindi and Marathi.
