Sing and win

The Madras Coastal Round Table is organising "Area 2 Idol", a charity show, this evening at 7.30 p.m., at the Taj Connemara. Open to members of the Round Table in Chennai and Pondicherry, the event, a singing competition, aims to raise funds for building schools for the underprivileged, and will be judged by playback singers and film personalities.

"Area 2 Idol" is sponsored by Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor's BSK Network and Entertainment and co-sponsored by the SSi group, and will see the presence of well-known personalities such as Tabu, Prabhu, Ramkumar Ganesan, Abbas and Erum Ali, Arun Vijaykumar, Nizhalgal Ravi, Bombay Jayashri and Anoorada Sriram.

The Round Table, an international organisation of young men, undertakes various projects to help the underprivileged.
