Funny Phil

If you like unpredictability, madness and total bewilderment, Phil Nichol can dish out plenty for you. Phil Nichol, Time Out magazine's Humour King of the Year, won over Indian hearts in the Capital the other day. Ranting, raving, screaming, he demands the audience's attention - if nothing else, they fear for his sanity. He is just outrageously funny! Kingfisher and Eventually International Entertainment presented this slapstick genius in action at the Olive Bar & Kitchen and The Park for two consecutive nights. It was the first visit to India for the world-travelled comedian. "I love India: its people, culture, food, actually, everything. The audience here in New Delhi is fantastic and I'm looking forward to my next trip already," said the Canada-raised artiste who has shared the spotlight with some Hollywood actors. Once a member of the musical trio Corky and the Juice Pigs, he says their song "Only Gay Eskimo Is His My Way... " has always been in demand wherever he performs.
