FEAR FACTOR

Last Friday, Sony TV premiered its first big reality show, the Indianised version of "Fear Factor" (Friday, 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.). The tagline of the programme says - "Jo dar gaya so mar gaya." (Those who get scared are as good as dead). It is a true test of stamina for those putting their body and soul on the line for Rs. 10 lakhs each week. The participants are popular TV actors and common people. The idea is to provide excitement to the viewers through such acts where a contestant hangs from a helicopter or is locked in a tank filled with crabs! The show requires participants to confront their most primal fears and try to remain calm. Television actor Mukul was the first brave man to participate in the show.
