The colours of Kerala

The Kerala Lalithakala Akademi is holding a solo exhibition of paintings, graphics and drawings by the renowned artist K. Damodaran at the Durbar Hall Art Gallery.

With an art career spanning over three decades Damodaran's works reflect the experiences of those years. Without a shadow of doubt his affiliations with Kerala are seen and felt in his art.

His play with colours is characteristic of the artist and is best seen in his landscapes. This exhibition marks the coming home for the artist, who is a recipient of many awards. Damodaran was born in Thalassery and did his Fine Arts Diploma in Painting from Madras College of Arts (1966). His works have travelled all over the country and beyond with shows in Tokyo, Mexico, Cuba and San Francisco.

The show is on till March 17.
