A Hungarian Cultural Week from March 19 in the city

The Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation is organising a Hungarian Cultural Week, in association with the Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre, New Delhi and the Honorary Consul of Hungary, Chennai, from March 19 to 23.
The week gets off to a start with a Hungarian Folk Music Concert presented by members of the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble (instrumental and vocal Hungarian folk music collected by Bela Bartok) at 6.30 p.m. on March 19 at the South Indian Film Chamber Auditorium, 606, Anna Salai. The programme will be inaugurated by renowned Carnatic vocalist M. Balamuralikrishna.
A Hungarian Stamp Exhibition will open at Amethyst, Sundar Mahal, Padmavathiar Road, Gopalapuram on March 20. It will be inaugurated by Imre Lazar, director, cultural counsellor, Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre, New Delhi at 10.30 a.m. It will be open till March 24.
You can enjoy Hungarian films at a film fest to be held at the South Indian Film Chamber Theatre from March 20 to 23. Sheila Rani Chunkath, secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu will inaugurate the fest on March 20, 6.15 p.m.
