Theatre workshop for kids

Ranga Shankara is organising a theatre workshop for children this summer conducted by Pinty Rao, theatre and film artiste, who has established herself as an "assertive and result-oriented theatre educator for children". As an actor she has to her credit films such as Ondanondu Kaladalli and Geeta and plays like Nagamandala. She has also worked as assistant director for Shankar Nag's Malgudi Days. Storytelling and process work facilitation are her other areas of work.

Arundhati Nag puts it this way: "The workshop will give children an opportunity to understand how theatre works and a chance to peek into the world-class facilities at Ranga Shankara. "

The workshop will be conducted in two batches with 20 children in each batch, between April 6 and 15, and from April 20 to 29 10 a.m. to noon.

The workshop is open for children aged between nine and 12.

The venue is Ranga Shankara, J.P. Nagar II Phase. The course fee is Rs. 1,000. Applications are available at Ranga Shankara today and tomorrow from 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Ranga Shankara can be contacted on 26493982 and 26592777.
