Walk in for fresh sandwiches and salads

The concept that was visualized by one person 40 years ago is today a rage across 83 countries.

Fred De Luca opened a sandwich shop in his neighbourhood in Bridgetown, Connecticut, in 1965 by taking a loan of 1,000 USD from a friend.

Today the sandwiches and fresh salads have become a global brand and are popular by the name Subway.

At present there are over 25,000 counters across 83 nations and one among them is located at the Dutt Islands in this city.

At Subway the concept revolves round the theme of serving fresh-made sandwiches, on fresh baked bread, prepared right in front and the way one likes it to be made.

"Globally we have become popular with the health-conscious consumers who are in search of high quality fast-food options.

We have separate counters for veggies and non-veggies.

At our place just select the `Sub' (sandwich) and tell the sandwich artist, which bread to use and the size you want, and it will be delivered to you in minutes with the sauces of your choice," says Tarun of Subway.
