To mark World Puppetry Day, Nori Art and Puppetry Centre (Durgabai Deshmukh Colony, Near O. U. Campus) will conduct puppet shows on March 21. The performances comprise The Giving Tree - an adaptation of Shel Silverstein's work and Maya - a Japanese story.

A special screening of the Telugu film Ashala Palle... Ke will be held at Sri Sarathi Studios Theatre, Ameerpet, on March 20, by Hyderabad Film Club ( Tel: 23730841). At the same venue, the French film And... God Created Woman (Et... Dieu Crea la Femme) will be screened on March 21 in collaboration with Alliance Française.

Shrishti Art Gallery (Tel: 23540023) celebrates its fourth year with an exhibition of paintings by eminent artists. The exhibition is open for public viewing from March 19 to 30 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
