Recipe of the week

Sweet paneer bonda

Ingredients

For stuffing

Paneer: 2 cups
Fresh coconut, grated: 1 cup
Sugar: 1 1/2 cup
Cashew powder: 2 tbsp
Amond powder: 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder: 1/2 tbsp
For the batter
Maida: 1 1/2 cups
Salt: 1/2 tbsp
Baking soda: 1/4 tsp
Water: 1/2 cup
Oil for frying

Method: Heat the pan. Add the grated coconut and sugar simultaneously and sauté until the caramel of thick consistency forms. Then add paneer, cashew, almond and cardamom powder and stir well for two minutes. Turn off the flame and allow it to cool. Make small sized balls and keep aside. Now, take maida and add salt, baking powder and water and mix thoroughly. Dip the balls in the batter and fry until golden brown. Sweet paneer bonda is ready to serve as snack.
