Success story

The Rajshris are known for their wholesome family entertainers. So when Sooraj Barjatya's sister Kavita Barjatya made her debut as TV producer under the Rajshri banner with a daily soap on Sahara One titled "Woh Rehne Wale Mehlon Ki" (WRWMK), it was bound to click. Now with the success and high TRPs of WRWMK, Kavitha is the most sought after now. No wonder STAR Plus has asked Kavitha to produce a serial for it. Says Kavita, "Television contributes to nearly 55 per cent of the Indian entertainment industry and Rajshris want a piece of that cake." Her latest serial too has a long name — "Pyaar Ke Do Naam... .Ek Raadha Ek Shyaam" — and features two new actors, Barkha Bisht and Inderniel Sen Gupta. She says, "It's a beautiful love story, a youthful entertainer. It is directed by Kaushik Ghatak who also did WRWMK. It will not have any saas-bahu conflict. In fact, there will be plenty of songs." "Pyaar Ke... " premieres on STAR Plus in the first week of April, Monday to Thursday, 8 p.m.
