Songs of success

Just sing a song on your mobile and you could be the winner

Here is an opportunity for you to walk the celebrity path if you have a good voice. Airtel and Vijay TV have launched Airtel Super Singer, a talent hunt show to spot the best singing talent in Tamil Nadu.

The lucky winner can even enter Kollywood and have a shot at fame.

Airtel subscribers can call 646610 and record their voice before March 30.

Those short-listed will be invited to audition before a high-powered jury comprising well-known singers and directors from the film world.

For the Coimbatore round, singers Malaysia Vasudevan, Chinmayi and Mahathi will be the judges. Chinmayi will also anchor the show.

Sixty singers selected from the auditions in Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai will then compete on Vijay TV.

At the end of it all, the crowned AIRTEL Super Singer will get to sing for music director Harris Jayaraj.

Coimbatore participants can also walk into video booths and record their voice. The video booths will be available between March 28 and 31 at Lakshmi Complex, Cross Cut Road; Annapoorna, R.S. Puram; Annapoorna People's Park and Nilgiri's.

Participants can also record their voice wherever they spot the Vijay TV super singer Van that will be stationed at Coimbatore between March 25 and 31.

Enthusiasts can even try their luck on April 1 at the audition to be held at Sri Ramakrishna Kalyana Mandapam.

Airtel subscribers can call 646735 and register.

(Auditions will be restricted to the first 600 registrations only on first come first serve basis).

Participants can even try their luck in the Madurai or Chennai auditions.
