There is a touch of class in every thing here, from food arrangement to interior design, which reminds one of Moghul days.
"Attracting Madurai public with different food varieties is really an art. For, the unpredictability factor is more here. But they are true lovers of food. Once you are able to sustain the quality and taste, then the customer will be a regular to your place," says Devendra Thapa, Executive Chef of the hotel.
True to its multi-cuisine tag, the restaurant offers a mix of Continental, Chinese and south Indian food apart from Italian pastas and tandoori varieties.
"We concentrate more on the hygienic part of food items. We use only branded ingredients which are of export quality," Mr. Thapa reveals.

The exotic varieties of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes have caught the attention of a good number of visitors to this restaurant. "Planning your recipes is very important. Besides, it should also taste good. `Begum Bahar' is prepared by cooking tender chicken in cashew gravy. `Seekh Kebab Lababdar' is nothing but minced mutton kebab in onion and tomato gravy. `Gosht Saagwala' is mutton cooked with spinach puree," he lists out.
The week-end buffet draws a line of customers to the restaurant. It offers 40 recipes, including eight non-vegetarian dishes. It comes to you at a price of Rs.222, inclusive of taxes.
To cater to the needs of the south Indian businessmen the restaurant offers `executive lunch,' which is priced at Rs.99, inclusive of taxes. It offers 15 different varieties, including one non-vegetarian and vegetarian dish.
Apart from Crystal, the hotel also has the luxurious roof-top restaurant, Mogul, just to provide diners a bird's eye view of the city. The restaurant offers Royal Couple dinner at a combo price of Rs.500 for two persons.

Apart from the buffet, every day the Chef introduces his own special recipe. Some of the succulent dish varieties are `Kim Chicken' and `Smoked Chicken'. With more than 25 years of experience in this field and having widely travelled, Mr. Thapa rolls out his own preparations to enthral food lovers. "The `Kim Chicken' is a South Korean dish, which is prepared with the chicken breast. Fry the chicken with egg batter and then toss it with Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce," Mr. Thapa demonstrates.
