Pankuj Parashar, who had earlier made commercial films, has now come out with "Banaras - A Mystic Love Story". The film is set against the backdrop of Banaras, the spiritual hub of India, and features Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia and Urmila Matondkar. The music is by Himesh Reshammiya. The story is about Urmila, a physics student from a rich family, falling in love with a music teacher (played by Ashmit Patel) at the Benaras Hindu University. What follows is a clash of ideology, caste and religious issues. The film carries good pre-release reports.
