ADVENTURE SPORTS Participants at the water rafting competition
Adventure Zone conducted a still water rafting competition - `Raftathon' recently at the Kambalakonda Wild Life Sanctuary. The event was inaugurated by Padmanabham, Conservator of Forest and the race was flagged off by Sri.Vijayakar, Divisional Forest Officer. The day was filled with fun and frolic with over 70 contestants young and old, boys and girls taking active part defying the scorching heat.
Rescue teams and safety gear like life jackets played a vital role in the smooth functioning of the event.
Prizes were given away by Vijay Kumar, Curator of Indira Gandhi Zoological Park.
With the growing popularity of adventure sports, Adventure Zone is planning to conduct a treasure hunt programme on bikes with clues placed at major locations in and around the city.
The programme is scheduled to be held in July.
