Haunted!

BAG Film's "Kaun Hai" on Star News on Fridays at 11:30 p.m. is based on the haunted places we often hear about

After having trained the guns on criminals and politicians, through the success of Sansani and Pol Khol BAG Films is are ready to prey upon the ghost and spirits. It has recently launched a reality programme Kaun Hai to showcase the reality of so-called haunted places.

The serial is aired on Star News on Fridays at 11:30 p.m. It expresses the truth and the beliefs of people living around the haunted places. So far, two episodes have been aired, where the first one moved around a dancer Tutti who was buried alive by the king of Rampur in 1858. If people of Rampur are to be believed, they can still see and hear her moving around the haveli where she was buried. The second episode showed the life and experiences of children living in a king's castle.

In our country, one comes across various such stories where people living around a haunted place, hear the alarming sounds and see startling images at night. Probably, some truth might sneak out of the age long rumours by these kinds of shows.

Such shows are gaining popularity these days as people are curious to know the unknown and exciting facts (or rumours, perhaps). In metro cities these stories grab eyeballs owing to the their uniqueness for the urban crowd. Ajit Anjum, executive editor, BAG Films says, "The viewers are interested in viewing the shows like this and their good response enables us to make quality programming."
