Recipe of the week
White kidney beans wada (Lobia)
Ingredients:
Lobia: 1 cup
Urad dal: 1/4 cup
Onions (finely chopped): 2
Cabbage (finely chopped): 50 gm
Carrot (grated): 1
Coconut (grated): 2
Green chillies according to taste
Ginger: 1 inch
Coriander leaves (finely chopped): 1 small bunch
Oil to fry
Salt to taste
Method: Soak lobia for four hours and urad dal separately. Grind urad dal to a smooth paste along with ginger, green chillies. Add lobia and grind coarsely. To the paste, add onions, cabbage, carrot, coconut and coriander. Make small patties and deep-fry. Serve them hot with coconut chutney
