Vishu attractions
Vishu is the best time of year when families in Kerala go to watch movies. This time, Vishu happens to coincide with the Easter weekend and hence it's a double whammy at the boxoffice. Mohanlal's "Rasathantram" has already been released, while Mammootty's "Thuruppu Gulan" with Sneha in the lead and Dileep's "Pachakuthira" with Gopika are all set for release this weekend. All the three films have comedy, action, sentiment and songs that make them family entertainers. "Rasathantram" has taken a bumper opening and "Pachakuthira" is expected to do well. The highlight of "Pachakuthira" is Dileep's dual role as a junior artist and his autistic brother. Says Dileep: "I took a lot of trouble to play Akash Menon with heavy make-up, thick-lenses and an unusual body language like that a five-year-old!" The big question asked in the trade is whether "Pachakuthira" will gallop ahead of "Rasathantram" and "Thuruppu Gulan".
