A culinary workshop provides food for thought this season
|
Passionate about food? Put on your apron, fire up the grill, and head to the Food Crust culinary workshop's speciality culinary classes commencing on April 20. The workshop offers you the opportunity to build on your knowledge of cooking and create a portfolio of reliable and tasty recipes. From international cuisine to chocolate making, the workshop has lined up a variety of speciality cuisine classes for the summer:
On April 20 professional chocolatier, Kanchan, will trace the history of chocolate from being the food of gods to the favourite of royalty. She will also share the art of making truffles.
Kids can learn cooking on April 22 and 24. Turn your kids into foodies, so they can tantalize their taste buds, practise their math skills, and with any luck cook you dinner. This class is aimed at teaching kids (in the age group 8 - 16 years) cooking skills and instilling the confidence in them to experiment with their own creations.
On April 26 transport the sunshine and spice of Mexican cuisine to your table.
And learn to make cool salads and finger-licking desserts on April 28.
Salads are light, simple, and quick to throw together - ideal for dining al fresco. Enjoy the summers with fresh and imaginative salads. And finish it off with a rich, sumptuous dessert.
Round off the workshop on April 29 with a class on cooking and dining the Chinese way with the right ingredients, tools and techniques.
