Blessed metal

BRIGHT BOUNTY These platinum pendants have been designed specially for Akshaya Tritiya

Akshaya Trithiya, considered by many to be one of the most auspicious days of the year, is just around the corner. It is customary for people to buy objects made of precious metal on that day, which falls on April 30 this year.

In an attempt to create the same sacred image for platinum that gold and silver presently enjoy, the PGI retailers of South India have planned a range of special offerings centred around Akshaya Trithiya. On the shelves this April are precious platinum coins hallmarked "Pt950"; "God-pendants" or pendants with deities inscribed on them, weighing between two and 10 gm.; and unique platinum medallions weighing one, two, four, six, eight and 10 gm.

The range of platinum offerings is available at Rs. 2,500 onwards, and each of the items comes with its own quality assurance card.
