FRIENDS FOREVER

"Krishna Cottage", a Tamil sitcom on Jaya TV (Monday-Friday, 9.30 p.m.-10 p.m.), is successfully completing its 400th episode on Wednesday (April 19). This mega serial, produced and directed by Prabhu Nepal, is inspired by "Friends", one of the most popular sitcoms among the youth in the U.S., which ran for nearly 10 years. "Krishna Cottage" has been able to attract the youth as it is a fun serial with plenty of light moments. The sitcom is about a bunch of youngsters and elders from different backgrounds who meet in Chennai but become friends though most of the time they are at each other's throats. To add more local flavour, Prabhu Nepal is now introducing two new characters, that of a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, who are always fighting and creating more hilarious situations. It looks like "Krishna Cottage" will easily complete another 400 episodes.
