YET ANOTHER An inaugural scene of the Day-2-Day mall in Pratap Nagar
Malls seem to dot the Capital landscape. They have given a new dimension to the whole idea of shopping in and around Delhi. One can see malls coming up in every nook and corner of the city. These malls are generally popular among the youngsters who find them a nice place to hang out and have a look at the latest trends in fashion, food and other spheres.
The newest addition is DR Donald's Day-2-Day Mall in Pratap Vihar. Boasting all the modern facilities the Day-2-Day Mall is supposed to be the mall for the masses, where people not only window-shop, but actually go to the other side of the window and buy the products of their choice at reasonable prices.
The idea behind opening this mall as Deepak Sharma, one of the directors, said was to have everything under one roof at reasonable prices. According to him this mall is going to benefit the customers from the middle class as well as the small shops that are being demolished.
Former Commissioner of Police R.S. Gupta appreciated the concept of bringing together of the small shops under one roof and said there was a need for such a mall in Pratap Vihar.Perhaps, the mall culture is here to stay and it is good that there are malls that provide goods of daily use.
