SLEEK AND MODERN Technology and designs have caught up with kitchens too

Kitchens are no longer the boring rooms where one slogs out to prepare the family meals. Today, they are well-designed spaces with hi-tech kitchen equipments and come in modular forms to transform it into a multi-tasking space. No longer is the kitchen simply a room in the home where food is prepared.

Kitchen Yatra is organising a state-of-the-art Modular Kitchen — Lifestyle exhibition at the Kanteerva Indoor Stadium from April 21 to 24. Kitchen appliances have moved beyond traditional stoves and refrigerators and now encompass a wide variety of tools and features that would rival any commercial kitchen, say the organisers, who are presenting over 15 varieties of modular kitchens for this exhibition. Right from kitchen tables and furniture, cabinets and cupboards, the exhibition offers a wide range in colours, quality and textures. These, add the organisers, will not only enhance the look of the kitchen but also provide extra storage space.

Another highlight of this fest is the Cashew Festival where the organisers are hosting a recipe contest in three categories — super chef (hotels), housewives, and students. All recipes should be cashew-based. Those interested can walk into Kanteerava Stadium with their ready dishes and their recipes can be submitted on April 21. And the winner can walk away with prizes worth Rs. 50,000. For details contact Abhijit 98450-12040.
