Bubbly presence

Compering is Ada's middle name. You can catch her in a number of programmes on the Star channel

You should be able to laugh at your goof ups. And you should have sound knowledge about what you are speaking about RESHMA KHAN

CASTING A SPELL Reshma Khan talking her way through

And who had the crowds under her spell at the Mather Lifestyle Awards, 2006?

Who else but the sprightly lady, Ada. Her `ada' (style) is zara hatke (different) But who wouldn't be with a name like Ada!

What's in a name, you might ask? Numbers is what she says. "There`s more to a name now. I was Reshma Khan. But I never liked the name because it was too `filmi' sounding and I was always teased in school. And so when I entered the entertainment field, I went for one that had correct numerology." She was noticed by Abhijeet, the singer, five years back and used to compere for stage shows. Now she is anchor, compere and actress on T.V. At present you can catch her on Star One in `Kya Hoga Nimo Ka' and `Lo Kar Lo Baat' on Sony. She had also anchored Grooves with Javed Jaffrey.

"Dancing is my passion," says this trained software engineer whose attempts at exiting the entertainment field never worked out. "I tried working as an engineer and as an air hostess but nothing satisfied me like this. So now I am back for good," says this 27-year-old, never-say-die Taurean.

"You have got so much to explore within yourself in its entirety. I never knew I could do so many things." What makes her so confident as a compere who has done 600 live shows "is my spontaneity and sense of humour. You should be able to laugh at your goof ups. And you should have sound knowledge about what you are speaking about."

Then a confident body language and gait with clear presentation skills can make you the complete compere. But as of now this lass is "all ready to sign on some item numbers in movies" and also plans a boutique in the next line of action.
