I am a 25-year-old computer engineer, facing the problem of dark circles around my eyes. I spend 10-12 hours on the computer in my office where there is a lot of work tension. I follow a proper diet and drink plenty of waterbut this has not helped. Please help.
The common causes of darkness under eye circles are anaemia, lack of sleep, fatigue, heredity, stress and constipation. Your job subjects you to a great deal of stress, so I congratulate you on following a healthy diet! I hope you are drinking 8-10 glasses of water every day. You need to get at least 8 hours of sleep at night. You can soak a few almonds in milk overnight, grind them with the milk in the morning and apply it to the skin around your eyes. Let it dry and then wash it off. If done regularly, this helps in reducing dark circles. Also, you can mix a little bit of potato juice with a teaspoon of curd and cucumber juice and apply to the same area. Or, you can gently massage the area with pure almond oil that has been mixed with Vitamin-E oil. When you take time to relax, put a slice of cucumber or cold tea bags on your eyes. You might also try a course of nourishing hydration facials combined with professional treatment for under eye circles available at VLCC.
I am 27-year-old. After giving birth to my first child, I have developed stretch marks around my stomach, hips and upper thigh area. I have become very self-conscious about this and have avoided wearing western outfits. Please advise me how to get rid of the marks.
Congratulations on the birth of your child! As for the stretch marks, while they are a natural by-product of pregnancy, they are also a sign of your skin's inability to cope with the rapid expansion of the flesh underneath. The collagen and elastin fibres underneath actually tear from the strain. Prevention is better than cure as they cannot be removed completely once they have appeared. To prevent further occurrence of stretch marks, you must keep the skin well moisturised. Apply a body lotion after taking your bath. You can go in for a special essential oil therapy that helps lighten stretch marks.
How do I get rid of freckles on my face?
The skin on the face is very delicate and is prone to various problems. Since you haven't indicated what kind of skin you have nor the nature of the freckles, it's difficult to answer your question. If the freckles are those you were born with, you cannot easily remove them. Try applying buttermilk on the affected area daily to lighten the spots. To prevent further freckling, use a sun block before going outdoors. If instead, the freckles are raised spots on the skin, you must consult a dermatologist.
