VEGETARIAN'S DELIGHT A tasty dish on offer at Shudh, the vegetarian food court in Karol Bagh

Located in the most happening market area of Central Delhi, Karol Bagh, Shudh, the vegetarian food court offers a variety of cuisines - North Indian, South Indian and Chinese. While the north Indian food section, called the Desi Kona, offers delicacies like Paneer tikka, Mushroom masala, Lacha parantha and Thali maharaja, the south Indian counter, named Super Tambi, has dosas, idlies, uttapams and a variety of flavoured rice. The Chinese section, Chow Ho-Jaye, serves Hakka noodles, Manchurian and soups. The speciality snacks section, Hearthstone, offers quick bites like sandwiches, salads, pizzas and chats. Besides, Shudh serves fresh juices, ice cream shakes, ice cream sodas and mocktails.

The specialities of the food court include Tandoori pineapple, Paneer Afghani, Tandoori pizza and Matka biryani. "We keep changing the menu periodically so as to cater to the different tastes of the people", says Chef Bhatt who specialises in Chinese cuisine. The hot selling items in this food court, which has just turned one, include Hakka noodles and pan-fried noodles. Says Ravi Yadav, manager of Shudh, "Vegetarians have a limited variety of fast food dishes. We have looked closely into this aspect and have thus set up the food court." A mocktails and juices festival will be held at the food court in the coming months.
