MY KIND OF PLACE - KUSHBOO

New Zealand

The best time of my life

New Zealand is one of the most spectacular countries I have visited. I have been there just once in 1997 but believe me I would love to go there as often as I can. Unfortunately I never got to visit it again.

My favourite in NZ

Is Queenstown. It has got everything throughout the year for tourists of every kind. For me, it was love at first sight. From the moment I landed there to the time I left Queenstown, it was a royal treat for my heart and soul. Besides the scenic splendour, another feel good factor was I visited the place along with my husband Sundar whom I was dating then. He had gone there to shoot a few scenes for one of his films and was feeling extremely sick. So I had accompanied him. The best thing about moving with the film's crew was getting to see the most exotic locations in Queenstown.

Great combination

Queenstown beautifully blends serenity and vibrancy. Be yourself if you want to or just go out and have a blast shopping, skiing, snowboarding (it's after all the adventure capital of New Zealand), eating or simply sightseeing. Being a foodie, I love to experiment with tastes and flavours when I am holidaying. Shopping? Yes, I almost always end up paying for excess baggage because my boxes overflow with gifts for friends and family.

Future travel plan

To rediscover this amazing place with my daughters.

In India?

Chennai and Kashmir are my favourites. When I get some time off, I love watching movies, meeting up with friends, dining out with hubby, spending time with kids and shopping in my good old Madras. It's a lovely place and I can never get tired of living here. As for Kashmir, it's undoubtedly jannat (paradise).
